Paradise is now an affordable, convenient and comfortable 25-minute flight away.

You could be soaking up the glorious island sunshine or enjoying a round of golf on one of the world’s best courses a whole lot faster with the launch this month of a new Mackay-based charter service Regional Air.

The brainchild of director Martin Cleland, Regional Air was developed in response to demand for an economical solution for customers travelling in a group either for pleasure or business purposes.

What was once an average eight-hour return car and ferry trip to the Whitsunday Islands is now a relaxing and enjoyable 25-minute flight aboard the local service’s ten-seater, twin-engined Piper Chieftain, priced from just $149 one way, Mr Cleland said.

“With Regional Air, you don’t have to worry about driving for two hours, paying to securely park the car and then transfers across to Hamilton Island – we can get you door to door in under half an hour and still have you home again for dinner if necessary,” he said.

Whether individuals or groups were travelling for business or pleasure, time was always of the essence and the service’s Piper Chieftain aircraft was fast, efficient and perfect for short-haul trips, Mr Cleland said.

As experts in getting their clients safely and comfortable to sometimes remote locations, Mr Cleland said he was confident the service’s Fly’N’Golf package will prove incredibly popular with locals and visitors alike.

The package includes a return flight from Mackay Airport to Hamilton Island, VIP transfers to the world-reknowned Hamilton Island Golf Course on Dent Island, as well as green fees and buggy hire, all pre-booked and paid for.

Mr Cleland said Regional Air’s fast and comfortable aircraft and friendly and professional team could get clients and groups anywhere, anytime and at a surprisingly affordable price.

Another benefit to specialising in customized charter travel meant Regional Air could also extend their convenient, fast and affordable means of travel to both Hamilton Island guests and staff.

Hamilton Island CEO Glenn Bourke says he is thrilled to welcome the Mackay-based charter service to the island

“Improving connectivity to the island is of paramount importance to us so we welcome this recent initiative. Our guests, staff and the local business on the island will benefit greatly from this new service.”

From just $1400 per hour and with the ability to carry eight passengers, the service was well-equipped to facilitate all corporate and private aviation needs including Fly-In, Fly-Out (FIFO) and scenic flights.

“Wherever you need to go we can get you there quickly and comfortably by tailoring a package that suits both your charter and destination needs as well as your budget,” Mr Cleland said.

“Regional Air can fulfil all your air charter travel requirements with minimum fuss and maximum affordability.

“So where can we take you?”
